American Bus, dates back to 1957 as Gibson Equipment, dealer for commercial and school buses. In 1995 the name changed to American Truck & Bus, Inc. after being purchased by current President/CEO Steve Leonard. We have a combined total of over 50 years of experience working with Private School bus Contractors, Municipalities, Federal, State, and Local Government Contracts. American Bus also has dedicated service, parts and warranty personnel specifically for all of our product offerings. American Bus employs 38 individuals which all reside in the State of Maryland. American Bus is an authorized dealer for Thomas Built Buses, Westward Vehicles, Braun Mobility Lifts and Vans, ENC and represents them in Maryland, Delaware, District of Columbia and Northern Virginia.
